Braind PDF Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2025

Welcome to Braind PDF (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use and our PDF tools. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data We Collect

We aim to minimize personal data. Depending on how you use Braind PDF, we may collect:

  • Usage data: page views, tool interactions, approximate location (country), device/browser info, referral URLs.
  • Account data (optional): name, email, password (hashed), plan, billing status—only if you create an account or upgrade to Pro.
  • Payment data: processed by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe); we do not store full card details.
  • Support data: messages you send via the contact page and related metadata.
  • Cookies/IDs: identifiers for analytics, ads preferences, and session management.

2. How We Use Data

  • Provide and improve our PDF tools, site performance, and reliability.
  • Operate accounts, subscriptions, payments, and support.
  • Monitor metrics (traffic, conversions) and detect/prevent abuse, spam, or fraud.
  • Show non-intrusive advertising and measure its effectiveness.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use first-party and third-party cookies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, analyze traffic, and deliver ads. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work without certain cookies.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display ads provided by Google. Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure personalized/non-personalized ads. You can control ad personalization in Google Ads Settings and learn more at the Google Advertising Policy and the NAI opt-out.

5. Analytics

We use analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand usage and improve the product. These tools collect pseudonymous information such as pages visited, events, and general location. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out.

6. Payments (Braind PDF Pro)

When you purchase or subscribe, payments are handled by a third-party processor (e.g., Stripe). We receive limited billing metadata (e.g., the last 4 digits, card brand, transaction IDs) and do not store full payment details. Payment data is processed under the processor’s privacy policy.

7. File Processing & Retention

  • In-browser processing preferred: whenever possible, files are processed locally in your browser (no upload to our servers).
  • Server-side tasks (if required): for heavy features (e.g., OCR or batch tasks), files may be sent to our processing servers or trusted providers. We automatically purge files after processing is complete—typically within minutes unless you explicitly choose to store them (e.g., in your account).
  • No training: we do not use your files to train models.

Do not upload content that you are not authorized to process. For general use, visit our Tools page.

9. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to opt out of sale/share or object to certain processing. To exercise rights, contact us at privacy@braindpdf.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (TLS, access controls, least-privilege, and routine purging) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. International Transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where required, we apply safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

12. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Server-processed files are auto-deleted shortly after completion unless you choose to store them.

13. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
